Today someone asked me for help with his chemistry homework and I couldn't help him. It's been more than four years since I've done any advanced math, and the only chemistry I do anymore is instrumental/analytical in nature, so I don't remember how to do any of the physical chemistry, which is what he was stuck on.
I feel like an idiot.

ugh. i know that feeling. someone asked me a basic civil procedure question the other day, and i could not explain to them what they wanted to know. it's one of those things that's so second nature that i don't know how to explain it anymore. sigh...
The super sad thing is that it ISN'T second nature anymore. It's just gone.
