My parents tried to do what they could, but they often added to the problem even though they meant well. I didn't have food problems until I got bigger and then because everyone assumed I had food problems, I developed some. I started eating things not because I wanted them, but because it gave me a sense of control. It's silly, but it's how our brains work.

I don't binge as much now and my food-related issues have gone down. But I've also come to terms with my body and have come to appreciate it in a way that I wish people had encouraged when I was younger. I could have saved myself a lot of heartache.Kimhttp://perfectlycursedlife.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1059458276630518177.post-58048291849192213462011-04-24T09:44:07.148-06:002011-04-24T09:44:07.148-06:00I loathed shopping even before my weight gain, now...I loathed shopping even before my weight gain, now even more.

Portion control can be so difficult.Jessicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17819453571479984739noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1059458276630518177.post-15134160997504744542011-04-22T11:16:11.009-06:002011-04-22T11:16:11.009-06:00I hate celery.
